Terms of Use
In short: you use Memmoth under Apple's standard license agreement. You buy Premium through Apple; subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled, and cancellations and refunds go through your Apple Account. Your notes are yours and stay on your iPhone.
License
Your use of Memmoth is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These terms supplement it; if they conflict, Apple's agreement prevails. The developer and provider of the app is Baran Borak.
Memmoth Premium
- Memmoth is free for up to 5 people. Memmoth Premium is offered as a yearly subscription, a monthly subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Current prices are shown in your local currency, including taxes, in the app and on the App Store before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase (or when a free trial ends).
- Auto-renewal: a subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage and cancel: manage or cancel anytime on your iPhone in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or in your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; Premium stays on until then.
- Free trial: eligible new users may get a 7-day free trial of the yearly plan. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Price changes: if a subscription price changes, Apple will notify you in advance and ask for your consent where required.
- Restore: on a new device or after reinstalling, tap “Restore Purchases” (on the Premium screen and in Settings) with the same Apple Account.
- If a subscription ends: none of your data is locked. You can still see, edit and export everyone; only adding people beyond the free limit and the Premium features stop.
Refunds and consumer rights
Sales and billing are handled by Apple; refund requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com under Apple's policies. Under Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Distance Contracts Regulation, and similar EU rules, the right of withdrawal may not apply to digital content or services supplied immediately with your consent. Nothing in these terms limits the mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.
Use
- Memmoth is for personal use. You are responsible for the notes you write about others and how you use them; please respect the privacy of the people you love.
- Notes in the app (for example about allergies) are your own notes; Memmoth does not give medical, legal or other professional advice.
- Because data stays only on your device, backups are in your hands. We recommend keeping iPhone backup on and exporting now and then. We cannot recover data if your device is lost or erased without a backup.
- You agree not to reverse engineer, misuse or use the app for unlawful purposes.
Liability
Memmoth is built with care but provided “as is”. We cannot guarantee that every reminder arrives on time (for example if notifications are turned off). To the extent permitted by mandatory consumer law, we are not liable for indirect damages. This does not affect liability for intent or gross negligence or any rights you have by law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the new version will be published on this page with its effective date. Questions: support@baranborak.com.
